As a species, human beings have always had blind spots. In the 21st century, however, these blind spots can be propagated in an instant over social media, and their potential consequences are more far-reaching than ever. Design ethicist Tristan Harris argues that we need to recognize the limits of our thinking while leveraging design to avoid the dangers that may result from ignoring those limits.
