In 2012, martial artist Lina Khalifeh started SheFighter, the first self-defense studio for women in Jordan. Since then, she has trained thousands of women, including 2,000 Syrian refugees, women with disabilities and orphans. In this talk, Khalifeh describes how the studio provided a door to empowerment for her and for the women she taught. "When life punches you in the face," she says, "You stand up and say 'you punch like a baby.'"
