Why we should celebrate women in comedy

Coming off her breakout role in the movie "Bridesmaids," it bothered Ellie Kemper that people kept asking her what it was like to be in a movie with so many funny women. "The reason I think I find that question distracting," she explains, "is that implicit in that question is a sense of surprise that women are funny." In this unsurprisingly hilarious talk, Ellie counters that persistent notion, reaffirming her own place in the comedic pantheon.
